Call Flowers
Call Flowers is a data visualization project analyzing the personal calls I made and took during the Spring of 2022. I gathered data on the length of my calls, who they were with, when they took place, and how physically far I was from that person at the time, and put all of that into a database. Using a combination of p5.js and SQL, I designed an interactive interface as an ode to my many loved ones who live far away.
Users can interact with the timeline at the top of the page to see each call as it took place. The length of the “stem” relates to my physical distance to the person on the other side of the call at that time. The diameter of each circle is the length of the call.
